The Nanson is a venue (the “House”) where gatherings become moments of connection and creativity. These terms maintain the House as a respectful and dynamic space, and by complying with them, Members help preserve its distinctive character, environment, and sense of belonging.
By accepting membership, each member (“Member”) and their guests acknowledge and agree to be bound by these terms and conditions (“T&Cs”) and all applicable House policies.
1. Name and Location
The Nanson is located at 1 Nanson Road, #03-00, Singapore 238909 (“House Premises”).
2. Owner
The Nanson is owned and operated by One RQ Pte Ltd(“Owner”), a private company limited by shares in Singapore.
3. Membership Categories and Admission
Membership at The Nanson is by invitation only and all applications for membership are subject to review and approval at the sole and absolute discretion of the House Membership Committee. Applicants must submit correctly completed membership forms, provide any required documentation and direct debit authorisation, and pay applicable fees. All membership-related decisions by the House Membership Committee are final and binding and not subject to appeal.
4. Membership Categories:
Individual (Single): Membership for one person over the age of 35.
Couple: Membership for two individuals who are spouses or partners.
Under 35: Membership available to applicants under the age of 35 at the time of acceptance into membership by the House Membership Committee. The membership rate “Under 35” will automatically increase to a standard “Individual (Single)” (unless “Couple” rate applies, as the case may be) on such a member’s 35th birthday and will apply from that day onwards. Applicants must be under 35 at the time of acceptance, a copy of passport, birth certificate, or driver’s license must be included.
Overseas: Membership for individuals residing outside Singapore, with access to the House limited to a maximum of 20 calendar days per year.
5. Membership Fees, Payments and Charges
5.1 Joining Fees
Joining fees are payable upon admission to membership in accordance with the fee scale prescribed by the Owner from time to time. Joining fees are strictly non-refundable.
5.2 Subscription Fees
Each Member shall, for the duration of their membership, pay the applicable subscription fee for their membership category at rates determined by the Owner from time to time. Subscription fees are payable either annually or monthly by direct debit. Monthly fees are charged on the 20th of each month for the following month.
5.3 Payment Method
All subscription fees, including those of Individual and Corporate Members, must be paid by direct debit from the credit or debit card authorised and provided by the Member in their application form. Members are responsible for ensuring that payment details remain accurate and up to date.
5.4 Charges and Consumption
Charges for food, beverage, spa services consumed by the Member and their guests, admission fees or tickets for chargeable events taking place at the House Premises or arranged by the House outside the House Premises, are payable over and above the monthly subscription fees. Such additional charges will be reflected in the Member’s Statement of Account, and are billed to the credit/debit card on file on the 5th of each month.
Members are responsible for the charges attributable to the consumption of food & beverage and services of the House, by their guests and invitees. If the Member’s guests and invitees choose not to pay the bill at the time of consumption at the House Premises, the relevant charges will be billed to the Member for the subject month. Any disputes or queries on charges must be raised within 1 week of the expense being incurred.
5.5 Late Payment and Default
Late payment fees apply as follows: SGD50 after 30 days, SGD100 after 60 days, and SGD200 after 90 days. Members defaulting on payment by more than 60 days may have their membership suspended or terminated at the discretion of the House.
5.6 Membership Cards
Membership cards remain the property of the House and are strictly non-transferable.
6. Member Obligations
Members, nominees (in the case of corporate members), and guests must comply with these Terms and Conditions, all other House rules (as issued and amended from time to time) and all House notices to Members. Membership is personal to the Member and is non-transferable, non-assignable, and may not be charged, mortgaged or be otherwise subject to any encumbrances. Each Member shall be solely responsible for his/her acts or omissions and that of his/her nominees (in the case of corporate members) and guests.
7. Conduct and Use of Premises
Members and guests must behave respectfully and in accordance with House policies. The House must not be used for trade, business, or illegal, disruptive or objectionable purposes. Members must comply with dress codes, device restrictions, guest policies, and any other posted or published House rules. Use of staff for external employment is not permitted without prior written approval of the House.
8. Suspension, Expulsion, and Termination of Membership
The House reserves the right to suspend or expel any Member for breach of these Terms & Conditions, misconduct, or any act that may, in the opinion of the House, be detrimental to the safety of other Members or prejudice to the reputation and interests of the House. Membership may be terminated voluntarily by the Member by resignation, which must be provided in writing to the House at least two months in advance. Members remain liable for all dues up to and including the date of termination and must promptly return all House property, including membership cards.
9. Cessation of Operations
If the Owner shall for whatever reasons determine to cease the operation of the House, the Owner shall issue a notice in writing to each Member prior to the date of cessation. All membership shall then be terminated and to the maximum extent permitted by law, the Members shall not be entitled to claim or raise demands against the Owner, the House or their affiliates, or any of their respective officers, directors, employees, agents or representatives, in whatever nature in relation to such cessation of operation. For the avoidance of doubt, the Owner is not guaranteeing or promising any minimum membership term.
10. Liability and Indemnity
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the House and its staff are not liable for personal injury, property damage, or any loss suffered by Members or their guests on House Premises. Members and guests enter the House Premises at their own risk and must indemnify and hold harmless the Owner, the House, their affiliates and their respective officers, directors, employees, agents and representatives against all claims or liabilities arising from their conduct in the House Premises or in connection with the House. Members shall indemnify the Owner for any property damage caused to the House by their actions or actions of their guests.
11. Guest Policy
Members may host up to three guests at a time, unless otherwise approved by the House. All guests must register upon entry and comply with these Terms and Conditions and all House rules. Each individual guest may visit the House up to ten times per calendar year. Members are responsible for the conduct and actions of their guests at all times.
12. Amendments
The Owner may amend these Terms and Conditions or introduce further rules, regulations or by-laws at any time without prior notice. The Owner will notify Members of the updated Terms and Conditions, which Terms and Conditions shall become immediately effective upon such notice unless a later effective date is indicated by the Owner in such notice.
13. Notices
13.1 Members must provide a valid email address and mailing address to the Owner. Members must promptly notify the Owner of any change to their email address or mailing address.
13.2 Any notice to be given by a Member or the Owner in connection with these Terms and Conditions must be in writing and delivered by hand, courier, post or email, (subject to clause 13.4). All notices shall be sent to the mailing address or email address of the Member as provided by such Member to the Owner, or to the Owner at the following:

13.3 A notice sent according to paragraph 13.2 shall be deemed to have been served:
(a) if sent by hand or courier, at the time of delivery;
(b) if sent by post, at the expiration of three days after the time of posting in the case of local post, and five days after the time of posting in the case of international post; and
(c) if sent by email, at the time of transmission by the sender, unless a notification of failure of delivery was received by the sender.
If a notice would otherwise be deemed to have been delivered outside normal business hours in the place of receipt (being 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. on a business day) it shall be deemed to have been received at 9:00am on the next business day in the territory of the recipient.
13.4 All notices in relation to cessation of operations of the House, or any actual or threatened proceeding, suit or action arising out of or in connection with these Terms and Conditions must be sent by post to the Member or the Owner’s mailing address (as applicable). Any notice delivered by any other means, including email, courier, or hand, shall not be deemed to have been properly served on or received by the recipient.
14. Waiver and Severability
No failure or delay in enforcing these Terms and Conditions constitutes a waiver of rights by the Owner. Any single or partial exercise by the Owner of any right under these Terms and Conditions or provided by law shall not preclude any further exercise of such right. If and to the extent that any provision is held invalid, the provision shall apply with the minimum modifications necessary to make it valid and the remainder of these Terms and Conditions shall remain in force and effect.
15. Force Majeure
The House shall not be liable in the event that any acts of God, insurrection, fire, national emergency, political sanctions, epidemic, pandemic, virus, disease or other health related emergency, riots, civil commotion, curfew, emergency, labour disputes, strikes, government acts or other similar cause which is or are outside the reasonable control of the House (each, a “Force Majeure Event”) causes or results in the House being unable to fulfil, or is delayed in providing any services to the Members and their guests, or to otherwise comply with these Terms and Conditions. Notwithstanding any Force Majeure Event, the obligation of the Member to make payment of any sums already due to the House, including but not limited to the subscription fees, shall not be affected or excused.
16. Privacy and Use of Data

17. Intellectual Property
All trademarks, trade names, trade dress, brand, domain names, service marks, logos, designs or other characteristics, texts and materials (including digital or electronic content created by or through the House) (in each case whether registered or unregistered) associated or used by the House, or otherwise displayed or made available at the House Premises, are the property of the House or its licensors and may not be copied, reproduced, modified, distributed or otherwise used by any person without prior written approval of the House.
18.1 Alcohol: Alcoholic beverages shall only be served to bona fide Members and their guests over the age of 18, and strictly within the hours permitted by law and licensing regulations.
18.2 Drugs, Illegal Substances, Electronic Cigarettes and Vaporisers: The possession, use, or distribution of illegal drugs or substances, electronic cigarettes and vaporisers within the House is strictly prohibited. Any violation may result in suspension or expulsion of membership and may be reported to the relevant authorities.
18.3 Children and young persons under the age of 18: Children and young persons under the age of 18 may only enter the House on weekends and public holidays, under the supervision of an adult Member or as otherwise expressly permitted by the House.
18.4 Corkage: Members must obtain prior written permission from the House before bringing any outside food and beverages. If the House permits the consumption of any outside food and beverages, service charges and corkage fees shall apply as may be determined by the House at its sole discretion.
18.5 Smoking: Smoking of cigarettes is permitted only in the designated smoking areas of the House Premises. Smoking in any non-designated areas, including indoor spaces or other communal areas, is strictly prohibited.
19. Third-party rights
Unless expressly provided in these Terms and Conditions, a person who is not a party to these Terms and Conditions shall have no right under the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 2001 of Singapore to enforce any of its terms.
20. Dispute Resolution and Governing Law
20.1 Any dispute arising under these Terms and Conditions will be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of Singapore.
20.2 Should any dispute arise, an affected party shall give written notice to the other party of the dispute with reasonable particulars (“Notice of Dispute”) and parties shall first endeavour to resolve the dispute amicably through negotiations.
20.3 If the dispute cannot be resolved through negotiations within 30 days from the date of the Notice of Dispute, either party may refer the dispute to mediation in Singapore for mediation at the Singapore Mediation Centre (“SMC”) in accordance with SMC’s Mediation Procedure in force for the time being (or such other mediation service provider as agreed to between the parties), without prejudice to any recourse to apply to court of law for any form of interim relief. Either party may submit a request to mediate to SMC upon which the other party will be bound to participate in the mediation within 30 days thereof. Unless otherwise agreed by the parties, the mediator will be appointed by SMC. The mediation will take place in Singapore in the English language and the parties agree to be bound by any settlement agreement if any reached.
20.4 If the dispute cannot be resolved by SMC mediation within 60 days from the date of the Notice of Dispute, any party may refer the dispute to the exclusive jurisdiction of Singapore courts.
21. Interpretation
The Owner has the final authority on the interpretation of these Terms and Conditions.
22. Privacy and Confidentiality
Members and guests are expected to respect the privacy of others. Disclosure of personal details, conversations, or business in the House without prior consent from the House and the affected Members is prohibited. Professional photography, social media and press disclosures about Members, guests, or events require the prior written authorisation of the House.
